1963 => Honda gets first overall win at Pasadena m/c's Big Hare Run w/Neil Fergus
1964 => Neil Fergus brings Honda its first #1 plate
1964 => Neil Fergus becomes first 250 rider to earn High Point Rider of the year
1965 => Norton earns first #1 plate with Mike Patrick
1966 => District splits desert and enduro points
1966 => District requires time check card to be placed on the gas tank
1966 => District establishes a Trail Bike Class for 100cc and smaller engines
1967 => Husqvarna gets its first overall win at Spokebenders H/S w/Malcolm Smith
1967 => San Gabriel Valley MC hosts the first Barstow to Vegas desert race
1967 => Desert racer Neil Fergus is first test rider to evaluate and help develop the Yamaha DT-1
1967 => J.N. Roberts finishes the season with 17 consecutive overall wins!
1967 => J.N. Roberts & Gunnar Nilsson win the Baja 1000 on a 500cc Husky Twin!
1967 => Bill Hammer becomes first amateur to win a desert race overall [Buzzards H/S, November 19th]
1968 => Larry Roeseler (13) becomes the youngest finisher of the Greenhorn Enduro
1968 => Bultaco earns first #1 plate w/ Larry Bergquist
1968 => Honda earns first Baja overall win w/ Larry Bergquist and Gary Preston
1968 => Desert racer Mike Patrick is sponsored by Yamaha factory to race develop the newly released DT-1 250
1969 => Tom Poteet becomes first 250 amateur to win a race O/A [Foothill Hawks, April 20th]
1969 => Yamaha earns first #1 plate w/ Mike Patrick
1969 => Kawasaki hires Neil Fergus, Larry Berquist & Gary Preston to race Baja 500 on the new Big Horn 350
1969 => Husqvarna earns first #1 plate w/ Whitey Martino

1970 => Bultaco earns 2nd #1 w/ Tom Poteet
1970 => Ducati factory hires Neil Fergus to develop the RT450, their first real "dirt bike"

1971 => Mitch Mayes, 3rd overall on a 100cc Baja behind Rich Thorwaldson (400 Suz) & Whitey Martino (400 Hus)
1971 => John DeSoto wins the Benefit Race for Whitey Martino (no points) - July 5th

197? => District starts a LWI (1V), LWII (1A) and Trailbike (1M) class for women
1973 => BLM announces their infamous "Desert Plan"
1973 => Mitch Mayes wins B-V with a 47-second lead over Jim Fishback
1973 => Desert racers say goodbye to Larry Pfutzenreuter
1973 => Rich Thorwaldson, desert ace, switches to motocross, and wins #2 National 250 plate
1974 => Mitch Mayes and A.C. Bakken win the B to V in a famous tie
197? => District starts a Senior division (01) for over-40 riders
1974 => Bultaco earns 4th #1 w/ Cordis Brooks
197? => BLM prohibits use of smokebombs at mass start events
1976 => Jim Daleo (62) on a flat-track Suzuki TM 400, is oldest finisher of Greenhorn Enduro
1976 => Doug Fergus (15) on a 1976 Yamaha TT500 becomes youngest finisher of Greenhorn Enduro
197? => District starts a Veteran division (V1, V1x) for age 30-39 riders
197? => District adds LWII (01C, V1C) & Trail (01T, V1T) classes to Vet & Senior divisions

198? => District replaces LWI, LWII and Trailbike class for women with an Open (W1) Women's division
198? => District "replaces" old Trailbike class (1T) with a Mini class (1L)
198? => District replaces "Tank" card with a "Lap Check" card on the front fender
198? => District discontinues LWII (01C, V1C) & Trail (01T, V1T) Vet & Senior claases
1983? => District starts an ATV class for three-wheelers
1983 => Dan Smith wins 100's MC H/H on Novemebr 9th, then wins Baja 1000 a week later
1985 => District creates a Super Senior (M1) division for age 50 and up riders
1986 => District disallows pre-riding european scramble courses

1990 => District "converts" ATV class to Quads (T1)
1990 => District starts a Quad class for Veterans and Women
1992 => District discontinues Quad class for Women
1993 => District splits 50 & over riders into Magnums (M1 for 50-59) and Super Seniors (R1 for 60up)
1993 => Ty Davis, son of Terry Davis, wins Baja 1000 with teammates Danny Hamel & Larry Roeseler
1996 => District starts a Four-Stroke class (F1)
1999 => District discontinues Quad class for Veterans
1999 => District website launched

2001 => Robert Modica upgrades D37 website from a very basic site to a full-featured site with message board
2002 => District creates a 250 class (M1x) for Magnum riders
2002 => Kurt Caselli overalls the Vikings Desert Scramble on a 125cc KTM
2004 => Kendall Norman overalls the Lost Coyotes Desert Scrambles on a 125cc Honda
2004 => District discontinues Four-Stroke class (F1)
2005 => "Big 6" Series adds a seventh round
2006 => Trailblazers induct JN Roberts, Larry Roeseler and Ron Nelson into their Hall of Fame
2006 => District agrees to give 70+ year old racers free entries
2006 => District adds motocross events to Best Of The West schedule
2006 => Racers MC joins D37 as first new club in many years
2006 => District 37 becomes trustee of the Bannerisup website by Billy Dean (Elam)
2008 => District creates Youth classes in the Grand Prix series for riders under 12 years old
2009 => District creates a Legends (L1) class for 70+ year old racers
2009 => Super Senior class renamed to Masters
2009 => Senior Women class added for 40+ year old women

2012 => Senior Women class discontinued
2015 => Desert Scrambles series created, replacing the Best of the West series
